Saved

I was searching for help,
to the edge of the world i ran,
nobody i met,
it was dark and silent.

I looked,
praying and humming,
impatiently i kept on,
no one in sight.

This darkness revealed my loneliness,
it decapitated my reality,
i needed a voice,
i aimed furiously.

The road kept silent,
the trees never whispered,
the buildings down casted me,
their shadows kept me.

The coldness crept,
reaching deep within my bones,
warmth i seek,
to avail i froze.

Forced breathing i tried,
along with the nonrhythmic beat of my heart,
keeping the consolidation of my lungs,
i kept on.

I looked above,
the stars so bright,
the moon afar,
the night silver in glee.

I heard a voice,
calling within the depths,
i heard footsteps,
i heard hope.

life prevailing,
my aid arrived,
the hope i held so right,
the confirmation of my theory.

Life so valuable,
gem of earth.
Life so great,
gift of hope and peace.

The voice arrived,
i tried to hold on,
i followed it,
i gave in.

My hope i abandoned,
my heart gave in.
My lungs collapsed,
my breathing stopped.

Life so gallant,
bold and strong.
Magnificent hope,
hallucination of life.
